How do i get my car to charge my GPS?
My car is a toyota camry. I am not sure of the year 90 something. The clock went out a couple months ago and i bought a gps and tried to charge it but the Cigarette Lighter isn’t working either. Ive read online that it is probably a fuse but I have no idea what im doing? can i take it somewhere that isn’t going to cost and arm and a leg to get it fixed? Or could someone explain how to do it myself? Please help.
Which Fuse?
Invest in a test light 5-10 $ at your local parts store. Using the test light check both sides of each fuse with the ignition on and the headlights on, the fuse which only lights the test light on one side is the bad one. I do not recommend the “pull and peer” method because I have encountered fuses which were physically broken but not visibly blown.
If that fails to locate your problem then you need to find a mechanic to diagnose and repair your car.
